OUR MISSION
Smith Septic was formed by Gene Smith in 1963. He had a simple philosophy, if you’re honest with the customer and provide excellent customer service you will build a successful business with a loyal customer base. This philosophy still holds true today as we continue to provide ethical customer service that goes above and beyond, for our new clients and the ones we’ve known for decades.
When it comes to quality service the answer is simple, the customer is worth it.
Our Equipment
Our equipment is kept in top-notch condition, consisting of a 3600-gallon pump truck for the largest capacity tanks. We have 265′ of 3″ hose to reach tanks on lake property. Heated equipment allows us to work year round.

Founder, Gene Smith
Gene was a hard-working man who spent most of his life pumping septic tanks in the central Illinois area, sit down at a coffee shop anywhere from Pawnee to Elkhart and we can guarantee that someone will remember “Shitty Smitty”. We miss him every day and wouldn’t be where we are without him.
Called late Saturday evening and he was able to come first thing Sunday morning! Did a routine inspection and cleaned the filter. Great, professional and affordable service!
